An Act for the destruction of Wolves and Panthers, in
Allegally County.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That it shall and may be lawful for the justices of
the levy court of Allegany county, to allow such sum as
in their skill and judgment they may think right and pro-
per, in addition to the sum already allowed by law, for
every old or young wolf or panther, caught and killed with-
in the limits of Allegany county; Provided such additi-
onal compensation shall not exceed the sum of five dol-
lars.

An Act to exempt the Property of the Grand Lodge of
Maryland from taxation.

Property exempt
from taxation
|
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the lot of ground and buildings thereon, situ-
ate on the east side of St. Paul's Lane in the city of Balti-
more, now owned and held by the Grand Lodge of the State
of Maryland, and all the personal property belonging to
said Grand Lodge in the slate of Maryland, be exempt, and
the same are hereby exempted, from taxation and public as-

sessment; Provided the same shall continue to be the pro-
perty or estate of the Grand Lodge of Maryland aforesaid,
any thing to the contrary thereof notwithstanding.

ing to the City of Baltimore.

ing to appoint-
ments
|
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the mayor and city council of Baltimore may
pass ordinances regulating the manner of appointing persons
to office under said corporation, which they are now or
may hereafter be authorised by law to appoint, any thing
in the second section of the act to which this is a supple-
ment, to the contrary notwithstanding.
