CHAPTER 426.

AN ACT to add two additional sections to Article 81 of Bag-
by's Annotated Cpde of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title "Revenue and Taxes," to be known as Sec-
tions 153-B and 162-B, and to provide a method for the
assessment and taxation of the stock of fidelity, surety
and casualty companies incorporated under the laws of
this State and doing business therein.

(Vetoed.)

CHAPTER 427.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 9 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title '' Charles County,''
sub-title "County Commissioners," to be known as Sec-
tion 49-A and to follow immediately after Section 49 of
said Article, increasing the compensation of the County
Commissioners of Charles County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
9 pf the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Charles County," sub-title "County Commissioners," to be
known as Section 49-A, to follow immediately after Section
49 of said Article, and to read as follows:

49-A. The County Commissioner's of Charles County shall
receive six dollars per day for each day they shall be engaged
in the discharge of their duties, but not to exceed two hun-
dred dollars per year, and shall be allowed no mileage.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1st, 1920...

CHAPTER 428.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Revenue and
Taxes," sub-title "Exemptions," said new section to fol-
low immediately after Section 4B, and to be known as Sec-
tion 4C, exempting property of the American Legion from
taxation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
