CHAPTER 416.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 71
of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Kent County," sub-title "Chestertown," as enacted by
Chapter 227 of. the Acts passed at the January Session of
the General Assembly of Maryland, 1888.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Nan/-
land, That Section 71 of Article 15 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Kent County," sub-title "Chestertown," as
enacted by Chapter 227 of the Acts passed at the January
Session of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1888, be and
the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
so as to read as follows:

SEC. 71. The County Commissioners of Kent County shall
annually, on or before the first day of January, pay over to
the Commissioners of Chestertown, that proportion of the en-
tire county levy for roads and bridges which one-half of the
total property assessed within the limits of Chestertown bears
to the whole amount of assessed property in Kent County, so
that the Commissioners of Chestertown may receive and dis-
burse the said amount for the purpose of keeping in repair-
the public roads and bridges of said Town of Chestertown.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 417.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Trustees of the Alms
House of Kent County, Maryland, to sell, either at public
or private sale, and convey the farm held by said
Trustees.
