222. It shall not be lawful for any person to fish in the
waters of Gunpowder River lying in Baltimore County, Mid-
dle River, Back River, Brown's Creek or Hawk Cove, or at
the mouth of Middle River, or in that part of Chesapeake
Bay between Miller's Island aud Spry Island lying in Balti-
more County, or their tributary streams, except Bird River
situated in Baltimore County or in the waters of the Chesa-
peake Bay within a radius of one mile of the entrance of said
rivers, creeks or coves, into the Chesapeake Bay with seine or
nets, staked or anchored so as to prevent the passage of fish
up and into the rivers, creeks and coves emptying into the
Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, except from the shore of
land owned by, or leased to said fishermen, and who shall be
a bona fide resident of Baltimore County for at least a period
of six months and whose name shall appear as a voter upon
the registration books in the office of the Supervisors of the
Elections for Baltimore County.
And be it further enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby en-
acted and to be known as Section 222-A. Any person so
violating any of the provisions in the preceding section shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County shall be fined not
less than fifty dollars, nor more than two hundred dollars
or be sentenced to Baltimore County Jail for not less than
thirty days, nor more than ninety days or both in the dis-
cretion of the Court.

CHAPTER 362.
AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to construct and thereafter maintain as a part of
the State Roads System an improved concrete or gravel
highway beginning at Palmers in the 7th District of St.
Mary's County, to some point on the present State road of
the aforesaid St. Mary's County, between Mechanicsville
and Leonardtown via Milestown to be decided hereafter
by the State Roads Commission over a route that will
serve the greatest number of people at the least cost.
This being a United States Mail Route and in extent
about twelve miles long.
