CHAPTER 343.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
231 of Article 93, of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, thereby increasing the pay of the Judges of
the Orphans' Court for Montgomery County from four
to .six dollars, for every day's attendance upon the ses-
sion of the Court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land That Section 231, of Article 93, of the Code of Public
General Laws of. Maryland, be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
SEC. 231. The Judges of the Orphans' Court of the several
counties shall receive the sum of four dollars for every day's
attendance upon the session of said court, to be paid at least
as often as at the end of each and every quarter after the
qualification of said judges by the counties, provided that St.
Mary's and Montgomery Counties be exempt from the pro-
visions of this section. The Judges of the Orphans' Court
shall receive six dollars for every day's attendance upon
the sessions of said Orphan's Court for Montgomery County,
to be paid by the county at the end of each and every quarter
after the qualification of said judges. The Judges of the
Orphans' Court of Baltimore City to be paid by the City
of Baltimore at the end of each and every month and the
sessions of said Orphans' Court of Baltimore City shall con-
tinue from 11 A. M. to 3 P. M., if necessary, for the trans-
action of business of the court, and provided that all pro-
visions of any public general law or any public local law incon-
sistent herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 344.
AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to construct and maintain as part of the State Roads
System a highway over the present public road in the
Eighth District of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, ex-
tending from the east side of Rockhold Creek Bridge
toward Shady Side for the distance of four miles.
