SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
the Code of Public Local Laws for Anne Arundel County, title
"Miscellaneous," to come in after Section 303B and to be
designated as Section 303C, said new section to read as fol-
lows :

303C. Before any deed for the conveyance of real estate
in Anne Arundel County shall be received for record by the
Clerk of the Circuit Court thereof, the person offering said
deed for record shall submit the same to the Clerk to the
County Commissioners of said county, who shall thereupon
make transfer on the County Assessment Books of the said
property to the name of the new owner or owners thereof,
and as evidence of said transfer, shall stamp upon the said
deed his certificate thereof, and no deed shall be received for
record without said certificate. At the time of submitting the
deed to the Clerk to the County Commissioners, the person or
persons offering the same shall furnish said Clerk with a state-
ment of the buildings, if any, upon the land conveyed by said
deed, and the price paid for the property.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts of parts of
Acts, inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 279.

AN ACT to authorize Charles A. Hodges, Deputy County
Treasurer of Anne Arundel County, to perform and com-
plete the incomplete work of Dr. Alfred H. Perrie, ex-
County Treasurer of Anne Arundel County, now de-
ceased.

WHEREAS, Dr. Alfred H. Perrie, ex-Treasurer of Anne
Arundel County departed this life in the month of. January,
1920, without having completed his reports of tax sales and
without having executed the necessary deeds for the convey-
ance of property sold by him at tax sale and it is necessary
that some one be duly authorized to complete said reports of
sales and execute the necessary deeds of sales made by him
when the same should be duty ratified; and

WHEREAS, The purchasers of said property sold at tax sale
by the said ex-County Treasurer are now insisting upon the
