levy shall be used, first for the purpose of paying interest on
the bonds issued under the authority of Section 267A and,
secondly, for the purpose of providing a sinking fund with
wh'ich to purchase bonds issued under said section or to retire
the same at maturity and the said President and Commission-
ers shall keep said sinking fund in some National Bank in
Cecil County which will pay a reasonable rate of interest
thereon.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be
deemed and taken as an emergency measure and shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 244.

AN ACT authorizing and directing the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County to put in good repair and recon-
struct the highway, starting at the State Road, known as
the Frederick Road from the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road tracks in the town of Gaithersburg and running to
the end of the State Road, where the Muncaster Mill
Road Adjoins the Laytonsville Road, a distance of about
two and one-half miles, all in Gaithersburg District,
Montgomery County, Maryland, and to use funds in
whole or part for said construction, that may be allotted
to Montgomery County, for road purposes, by the State
Roads Commission, under any general law of the State
of Maryland, and to issue bond in an amount not to ex-
ceed thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000.00) for said
purpose, and for the collection and levying of taxes on
the assessable property of the Ninth Election District, of
said county, for the payment of said bond and interest
coupons thereon ; providing that when said highway shall
be put in good repair and the same be satisfactory to the
State Roads Commission, then said highway shall be and
become a part of the State Highway system of the State
of Maryland, as now provided by law, for taking over
State Aid Highway, by the State Roads Commission,
when the same shall.have been in good repair.
