after make in accordance with regulations which said Board
of Supervisors has heretofore adopted or which it may here-
after adopt.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, 1920.

CHAPTER 207.

AN ACT to add a new section to the charter of the town of
Louaconing, as incorporated by Chapter 132 of the Acts
of 1890, to be known as Section 2-A, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 2 of said charter, providing for
extending the boundaries of the town of Lonaconing, Alle-
gany County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to the
Charter of the town of Lonaconing, as incorporated by Chap-
ter 132 of the Acts of 1890, to be known as Section 2-A, to
follow immediately after Section 2 of said charter, and to read
as follows:

2-A. The Mayor and City Council shall have the authority
to extend by ordinance the boundaries of the town of Lonacon-
ing not exceeding five hundred feet in every direction from
the present boundaries of said town whenever they may deem
it desirable or necessary.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the above section
shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the town of
Lonaconing at the town election to be held in May, 1920, and
upon each ballot there shall be printed the words "For
Amending the Charter" and "Against Amending the
Charter." If a majority of those voting thereon shall be in
favor of amending the charter, then the above section shall
become a part of the charter of said town, but if a majority
shall be against amending said charter, then it shall not become
a part of the charter of said town.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public safety, and being passed
