in Washington County, Maryland, to be known as the Halfway
Election District, or Election District Number Twenty-six of
said Washington County, and to be formed of parts of Elec-
tion Diistricts Numbers Three and Twenty-four, two of. the
Hagerstown Election Districts, and Election District Number
Two, Williamsport Election District, and Election District
Number Ten, Funkstown Election District, and the polling
place of said new election district shall be in the village of
Halfway.
SECTION 2. And be it enacted, That the new election district
so as to be created and established shall be within, the follow-
ing metes and bounds and practically by the following courses,
that is to say: Beginning at the point where the public road
leading from Funkstown to what was until recently the
Hagerstown and Williamsport Turnpike Road crosses what
was until recently the Hagerstown and Downsville Turnpike
Road, then following said Hagerstown and Downsville Turn-
pike Road in a southwesterly direction to the farm of Emily
Beckley at a point where the public road running from said
Hagerstown and Downsville Turnpike Road to said Hagers-
town and Williamsport Turnpike Road "leaves said Hagers-
town and Downsville Turnpike Road," then following said
public road a.ll the way through to the point where it meets
said Hagerstown and Williamsport Turnpike Road at the
farm of Edward C. Doub, then following said Hagerstown
and Williamsport Turnpike Road to the public road running
by the Samuel B. Loose farm, then following said public road
in a northernly direction by the old Sprecher Mill property to
the Western Maryland Railroad, then following said Western
Maryland Railroad in a northeasternly direction to the divid-
ing line between the farm recently owned by Charles Eckstine
and Flora A. Eckstine, his wife, and the farm recently owned
by David E. Eckstine and Fannie E. Eckstine, his wife, which
dividing line is shown on a plat of property owned by Eckstine
Brothers, and recorded in Liber 136, folio 525, one of the Land
Records of said Washington County, then following said
dividing line and a straight continuation of the same to the
Cumberland Valley Railroad, then following said Cumber-
land Valley Railroad in a northeasternly direction to the Lin-
wood Road, as shown on a plat of Prospect Place, recorded in
the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Washington
County in Plat Record Book No. 1, page 114, then following
