ing, erecting, constructing and maintaining a sewerage sys-
tem in said town for drainage and sewerage purposes, the
Mayor and Town Council of Kitzmillersville be and they are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to issue bonds in
the name of the Mayor and Town Council of Kitzmillersville
to an amount not exceeding $60,000.00 or so much thereof as
may be necessary for the purposes aforesaid. The said bonds
shall be for sums not less than $100.00 each nor more than
$500.00 each, to be signed by the Mayor and Presiden of the
Town Council and countersigned by the Clerk of said Town
Council, with the corporate seal of said town thereto affixed,
bearing interest at the rate of five per cent per annum, pay-
able semi-annually in each and every year and dated on the
first day of their issue; said bonds shall be numbered serially
and shall be payable as follows: Bonds to the extent of $500.00
shall be due and payable one year from date of issue, and
thereafter bonds to the extent of $100.00 shall mature and be
payable each consecutive year in the order of the consecutive
numbers until the entire issue of said bonds is taken up and
redeemed; reserving the option to the Mayor and Town Coun-
ch aforesaid to take up and redeem at any interest period
after ten years any and all outstanding bonds running more
than ten years, at the face value thereof, with accrued in-
terest; said bonds shall be exempt from all taxation for
county and municipal purposes, and shall have printed upon
them a reference to the Act of Assembly authorizing the issue
thereof.

SECTION 2. And be it enacted, That the Mayor and Town
Council of Kitzmillersville are hereby authorized and em-
powered to construct and erect waterworks and sewerage for
said town, and to contract for the purchase in fee simple or
lease for a term of years, renewable at their pleasure, any
land, real estate, springs, brooks watercourses, streams, and
to use and occupy forever or for a term of years any land,
real estate, springs, brooks, watercourses or streams, which
they may deem expedient and necessary for the purpose of
furnishing said town with water and maintaining said sewer-
age, and they are hereby invested with all the rights and
powers necessary for the induction of water in said town and
the maintenance of said sewerage system. If for any reason
the said Mayor and Town Council of Kitzmillersville shall be
unable to agree with any owner of real or leasehold property,
