CHAPTER 94.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County,"
sub-title "Clerk of the Circuit Court and Register of
Wills."

CHAPTER 95.

AN ACT to repeal part of Section 63 of Chapter 158 of the
Acts of 1898 of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, titled '' Allegany County,'' sub-titled
"Cumberland," pertaining to the finance of the City of
Cumberland, said part to be repealed reads as follows:
"To levy and collect a tax on assessable property of said
City of Cumberland for the general purposes of said cor-
poration not exceeding in any one year fifty cents on each
one hundred dollars' worth of said assessable property."
And to re-enact the same so as to read: "To levy and
collect a tax on the assessable property of said city for
general purposes of said corporation not exceeding in
any one year seventy-five cents on each one hundred dol-
lars' worth of said assessable property."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That that portion of Section 63 of Chapter 158 of the
Acts of 1898, Article 1, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, titled "Allegany County," sub-titled "Cumber-
land," pertaining to the finance of the City of Cumberland,
which reads as follows: "To levy and collect a tax on the as-
sessable property in said city for general purposes of said
corporation not exceeding in any one year on each one hun-
dred dollars' worth of said assessable property," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows: "To levy and collect a tax on the assessable property
of said city for the general purposes of said corporation, not
exceeding in any one year seventy-five cents on each one hun-
dred dollars' worth of said assessable property."

SECTION 2. Be it enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate
