urer and Deputy Treasurer of Dorchester County, Mary-
land.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 118-B and 121-C of Article 10 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Dorchestei
County," sub-title "County Commissioners, County Treasurer
and Collectors," as said sections were enacted by Chapter 366
of the Acts of 1918, and Chapter 834 of the Acts of 1914, be
and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
118-B. The Treasurer, subject to the consent of the County
Commissioners, shall appoint a deputy treasurer, who shall
qualify under the Constitution of the State and shall give
bond to the Treasurer as he may require; and the salary of
said deputy treasurer shall not exceed sixteen hundred dol-
lars ($1,600) a year, payable monthly. The treasurer shall
appoint such clerk or clerks as may be necessary for the,
proper discharge of the duties of his office, subject to the con-
sent of the County Commissioners, but the aggregate annual
salary of said clerks shall in no case exceed the sum of six
hundred dollars ($600). The County Commissioners may ap-
point a stenographer and typewriter at a salary not exceeding
six hundred dollars ($600) per annum for the County Com-
missioners' office.
121-C. The Treasurer shall receive as compensation for his
services as treasurer and collector of Dorchester County, an
annual salary of two thousand dollars ($2,000) which shall
be paid in equal monthly instalments. And the said salary
shall be his sole compensation, and all fees of every kind and
description arising from the sale of property for taxes or
from any other sources shall not be retained by the treasurer.
but shall be paid by him to the County Commissioners and
a separate account kept thereof, and the aggregate amount
of such fees shall be included in the annual budget of the said
Commissioners as an asset of the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1920.
