of said George P. Powell 's land; and thence with south line
of said George P. Powell's land to the northeast corner of lot
numbered one (1) in block numbered twenty-nine (29) ; thence
along the easterly boundary of block numbered twenty-nine
(29) to its intersection with Cypress avenue; thence across
Cypress avenue to the southerly side thereof; thence with said
southerly side of Cypress avenue to the southeast corner of
lot numbered twelve (12), block numbered twenty-six (26) ;
thence with the southerly boundary of block numbered
twenty-six (26) to the southwest corner of lot numbered six-
teen (16) in said block numbered twenty-six (26) ; thence with
the southerly boundary of block numbered sixteen (16) to the
southwest corner of lot numbered sixteen (16) in the said
block numbered sixteen (16) ; thence along the south line of
lots numbered twenty-two and twenty-three (22 and 23) in
block numbered eighteen (18) of the Pine Crest Sub-division
to its intersection with Westmoreland street; thence across
Westmorland street to the dividing line between lots num-
bered twenty-four and twenty-five (24 and 25) in block num-
bered seventeen (17) of the Pine Crest Sub-division; thence
along said dividing line to the dividing line between lots num-
bered thirteen and fourteen (13 and 14) in said block num-
bered seventeen (17) of said Pine Crest Sub-division; thence
along said line to its intersection with Eastern avenue; thence
in the same direction across said Eastern avenue to the afore-
said third line of the District of Columbia; thence with said
line reversed to the place of beginning.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the following is
hereby added to the charter of the town of Takoma Park.
Maryland, as Section 41 thereof:
SEC. 41. That from and after the passage of this Act no
sub-division of property within the corporate limits of the
town of Takoma Park, Maryland, thereafter made shall have
any force or effect unless and until a map or plat of the same
shall have been filed with the town clerk, and approved by the
Mayor and Council of Takoma Park, Maryland, by the pass-
age of an ordinance; and no plat or map purporting to indi-
cate such a sub-division of property within the corporate
limits of the town of Takoma Park, Maryland, shall be re-
ceived for record or recorded among the land records of Mont-
gomery or Prince George's Counties, unless and until the said
