are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to include the
two assistants to the secretary of the said Board of Police
Commissioners within the provisions of Section 777 of this
Article, so that they may enjoy the same rights and privileges
and benefits subject to the same limitations and conditions as
are therein prescribed and conferred for the retiring of the
members of the police force for the said City of Baltimore,
provided, however, that any of the persons herein mentioned
who were in the service of the Police Department prior to the
year 1900 shall pay into the special fund a sum equivalent
to two per centum on the salary paid to them since the year
1900, and any who have been employed since the year 1900
shall pay into the special fund a sum equivalent to two per
centum on the salary paid to them since the date of employ-
ment, and for the current year and thereafter the regular
percentage required under the special pension Act.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after June 1st, 1920.

CHAPTER 70.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendment Section 371
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article
4, title ''Baltimore City," as the same appears in the
Revised Edition of- the Code of Baltimore of 1915.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 371 of Article 4 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title '' Baltimore City,'' be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as
follows:

The Comptroller of the State of Maryland be and he is
hereby directed to draw a warrant upon the State Treasurer
for the payment of the sum of three thousand dollars per
annum in each year in monthly installments of two hundred
and fifty dollars for the compensation of the trust clerk to
be appointed by the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, for the
supervision of the trust estates in the Circuit Court and Cir-
cuit Court No. 2 of Baltimore City; payment of said salary to
