In case a greater number of said qualified voters at said elec-
tion held under the provisions of this Act shall vote against
said bonds than for said bonds, then and in that event this
Act shall become null and void and of no effect.

CHAPTER 643.
AN ACT to add a section to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland. Article 11, title, "Frederick County," as
codified by George R. Dennis, Jr., sub-title. "Sheriff,"
regulating certain fees, expenses and mileage of the Sher-
iff of Frederick County, to be known as Section 704-A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland., That an additional section be and the same is
hereby added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
Article 11. title, "Frederick County," as codified by George
R. Dennis, Jr.. sub-title, "Sheriff," to follow after Section
704, to be known as Section 704-A, and to read as follows:
SEC. 704-A. The Sheriff of Frederick County shall receive
for serving a warrant or for making ati arrest, either in per-
son or by deputy, in addition to the fee of seventy-five cents
now allowed by law, the sum of ten cents per mile for every
mile necessary to be traveled, and shall receive the actual
expenses of transportation of said prisoner or prisoners mid
the custodian thereof.

CHAPTER 644.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1
of Chapter 783 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1914, and
entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the County
Commissioners and County Treasurer for Talbot County
to employ an additional assistant in the Treasurer's
office, who shall be a stenographer and typewriter, with
a knowledge of bookkeeping, and to provide for the pay-
ment of the same; also to provide for the payment of
the expenses of the County Treasurer for Talbot County
when out of his office on County business."
