Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Section 1 of Chapter 783 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January Session of 1914, and
entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the County Com-
missioners and County Treasurer for Talbot County to employ
au additional assistant in the Treasurer's office, who shall be
a stenographer and typewriter, with a knowledge of bookkeep-
ing, and to provide for the payment of the same; also to
provide for the payment of the expenses of the County Treas-
urer for Talbot County when out of his office on County
business," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners and County
Treasurer for Talbot County be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to employ an additional assistant in
the County Treasurer's office with a thorough knowledge of
bookkeeping at a salary of not more than one thousand dollars
($1,000.00) per annum to be paid monthly by the County
Commissioners for Talbot County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June. 1920.

CHAPTER 645.
AN ACT to repeal Section "Q" of Chapter 341 of the Acts
of 1900 of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled
"An Act to repeal Chapter 91 of the Acts of eighteen
hundred and ninety-four, entitled an Act to incorporate
the Town of Mt. Airy, in Carroll and Frederick Coun-
ties, and the several Acts and parts of Acts amendatory
thereof, and to re-enact the said Act of eighteen hundred
and ninety-four, with amendments," and to re-enact the
said Section "Q" of Chapter 341 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section "Q" of Chapter 341 of the Acts of
1900 of the General Assembly of Maryland, entitled "An
Act to repeal Chapter ninety-one of the Acts of eighteen
