Maryland, four thousand six hundred and seventy six
dollars, and on account of the November session of
the Legislature, the sum of five thousand seven hundred
and three dollars, to the Electors of President and Vice
President of the United States, the sum of three hun-
dred and ninety five dollars, and on account of the
present session of the Legislature, the sum of forty
nine thousand seven hundred and sixty dollars and
sixty-four cents, making a sum total of sixty thousand
five hundred and thirty-four dollars, and sixty-four
cents: — Therefore,

CHAP. 311.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and be
is hereby authorsed and required to pay to the several
persons, their executors, administrators, assigns or
orders, or to such of them as shall apply to receive
the same, the several sums of money allowed to them
respectively, as they appear to be settled and asccr-
by the said journal of accounts, out of any money now
in the treasury, subject to appropriation by the Gener-
al Assembly.

CHAPTER 311.

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to unite Middle-
town, Keller's Addition to Middletown, Grove's Ad-
ditio to Middle town, and Rise's Addition to Mid-
dletown into one. by the name of Middletown, and
incorporate the same, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-three, chapter one hundred
and forty-five.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the body corporate, created by the act
to which this is a supplement, shall have power to sue,
and be liable to be sued in any court, before any justice
of the peace or other person or tribunal competent, by
law, to take cognizance of any suits, causes or com-
plaints.
