CHAPTER 258.

CHAP. 259.

An act to authorise and require the Clerk of Somerset
County court to record a Deed therein mentioned.

1837.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the clerk of Somerset county court,
be, and he is hereby authorised and required to record
a deed from William S. Hill, and Ann Eliza, his
wife, to George Nelms, which said deed was duly exe-
cuted in the Borough of Liverpool, in the Kingdom of
Great Britain, on the fifth day of September, in the
year eighteen hundred and thirty-four.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said deed when
recorded shall have the same validity and effect, as if
the same had been executed within, and according to
the laws of this State.

CHAPTER 259.


An act to authorise Fayette Street, in the Town of Rock-
ville, in Montgomery County to be closed, and anoth-
er to be called by the same name, to be opened.

1837.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, by sundry citizens of the town of Rockville, in
Montgomery county, that it is expedient that a certain
street in said town, called Fayette street should be
closed, and another of the same name opened, on the
East side of lot number ninety-three, of the width of
thirty feet

Preamble

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Jesse Leach, of Rockville, in Montgomery coun-
ty, be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered, to
close and shut up the street now known and called
Fayettee street in said town, and that the said Jesse
Leach, do, and shall open a street to be called Fayette
street, on the East side of lot number ninety-three, in
said town, running parallel, or as nearly as conveni-
ently may be, with the street now opened, called Fay-
ette, of at least thirty feet in width, and extending
from the turnpike road leading from Rockville to
George Town, to Madison street; provided, that the
