A supplement to an act entitled, an act to authorize the
sale or lease of certain vacant lots of ground, in Wil-
liamsport, in this State, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and thirty-two, chapter one hundred
and ninety-two.

Payment of tax-
authored

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Doctor William Van Lear, of Washington coun-
ty, named in the act to which this is a supplement, be,
and be is hereby authorized and empowered to pay off
and discharge all taxes which have heretofore been or
may hereafter be assessed on the lots or parts of lots
of ground in the town of Williamsport in this State,
which belong to, and are held jointly in coparcenery,
orin common, by Mary S. Williams, William S. Wil-
liams, Otho H. Williams, and Elizabeth C. Williams,
infant child of William E. Williams, deceased, and
Mary S. Williams, infant daughter of Edward G.
Williams, deceased, or that are owned and held jointly
or in common by them, with any other person or .persons
whatever, out of the proceeds arising from the sale of
the said lots or parts of lots, or of any part thereof
whether the same have been heretofore or may he here-
after sold, and whether the said taxes be assessed to
the State of Maryland, the county of Washington, or
the town of Williamsport, and further, that the said
Doctor William Van Lear, be, and he is hereby au-

thorized to reimburse himself for any taxes assessed
on the said lots or parts of lots heretofore or hereafter
paid by him, out of any of the proceeds arising from
a sale or sales made by virtue of any thing contained
in the act to which this is a supplement
