CHAP. 245.
Commissioners
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Joseph Harlan, Eli
Hurford and John Donoho, be, and they are hereby
nominated and appointed commissioners to contract for
the building of said bridge on the most reasonable
terms, whose duty it shall be, after making said con-

tract, to report the same to the county commissioners,
and when said bridge is completed to report to said
commissioners the cost of said bridge, together with all
other proceedings under this law.
|
|
|
Compensation
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the county commis-
sioners shall allow said commissioners a reasonable
compensation for their services, which allowance to-
gether with said eight hundred dollars, shall be levied
and collected as other county charges are, and be paid
to said commissioners or their order.

An act further to continue an act, passed at November
session one thousand eight hundred and four, entitled,
an act to Incorporate the Chesapeake Insurance Com-
pany.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act to incorporate the Chesapeake Insurance
Company, passed at November session, in the year
one thousand eight hundred and four, together with
every supplement thereto, be, and the same is hereby
continued until the year one thousand eight hundred
and forty-five, and to the end of the next session of the
legislature, which shall happen thereafter, for the pur-
pose of enabling the said company to wind up and close
its affairs hut for no other purpose.
