Williarasport to Clear Springi to a brick yard on said
road, thence with a straight line to a culvert on the
canal next above Eli Beattys Warehouse, thence with
the said Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, to the place of
beginning at lock number forty-four.

CHAP. 233.
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the inspector of lum-
ber in the town of Williamsport, may appoint two or
more deputies under him to assist in the inspection of
lumber, said deputies complying with the requisites of
the act to which this is a supplement.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the inspector of lum-
ber shall be permitted to measure all lumber with a
tape line having thereon legibly marked its length in

feet and inches, and to have the sum of twelve and a
half cents per thousand feet for measuring the same.

A further supplement to an act, passed at December ses-
sion eighteen hundred and thirty four, entitled, an act
for the building of a Bridge, over the Great Falls of
Gunpowder, at Monkton Mills, in Baltimore County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Baltimore county, be, and
they are hereby authorised at their discretion to levy
upon the assessable property of said county at such
time as they shall deem expedient, any sum not exceed-
ing five hundred dollars in addition to the amount spe-
cified in the act to which this is a further supplement,
and the supplement thereto, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter one hundred
and fourteen, for building a Bridge over the Great
Falls of Gunpowder, at or near Monkton Mills, in
Baltimore county, and that the same shall be applied
to the completion of said bridge and shall be accounted
for, agreeably to the provisions of the act to which this
is a further supplement.
