SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That when the said pa-
pers are procured as aforesaid, they shall deliver the
same to the surveyor of the county, who shall file them
in his office, and from thenceforth bo considered, and
kept as public papers by the present surveyor of
Montgomery county, and his successors.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Mary W. Berdeau, of Washington county, be,
and she is hereby divorced from her husband Charles
Berdeau, a vinculo matrimonii.

CHAPTER 210.

An act to enable Charles Hanshaw to take with him from
this State, a servant for a term of years.
|

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Charles Hanshaw, now of the city of Annapolis,
be, and he is hereby authorised, notwithstanding the
existing laws to the contrary, to take with him from
this State a negro woman named Charlotte Purdy, who
is a servant for a term of years; provided, that the said
negro woman shall in person before the orphans court
of Anne Arundel county, signify her willingness to go
with the said Charles Hanshaw beyond the limits of
this State; and provided also, the said Charles Han-
shaw shall furnish the said woman with a certified copy
under seal, of the deed or will under which she claims
her freedom.
