CHAP. 208.
Time stipulated

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That if the obstructions
in said Alley so to be widened, be not removed within
thirty days after the first day of January next, or
within thirty days after the final decision of Baltimore
city court, in case of any appeal or appeals, provided
said appeal Or appeals shall he after said first of Jan-
uary, that then the said commissioners herein named,

For opening, &c

or a majority of them, shall cause such obstructions to
be removed, and sell and dispose of the materials of
any building or buildings constituting such obstruc-
tions, and pay the proceeds over to the owner or pro-
prietor, after deducting all expenses for removing the
same.

Repeal

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all such parts of
the aforesaid act as may be inconsistent with this sup-
plement, be, and the same are hereby.


CHAPTER 208.

Passed Mar. 17,
1637.

An act to provide for the purchase of certain papers,
for the use of the Surveyors, Office, of Montgomery
County.

Persons to value

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Thomas Gittings, William O. Chap-
pell, and William Chiswell, of the county aforesaid,
or any two of them, be, and they are hereby authorized
and appointed to inspect, value, and purchase the plats,
certificates, field notes and other papers of Willy Janes,
assistant surveyor of said county, if they shall think it
expedient, and to allow the said Willy Janes, such
compensation for the same, as shall be deemed just
and reasonable.

Oath required

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
aforesaid, before they act as such, shall take an oath,
before some justice of the peace of said county, truly
and faithfully to execute the duty hereby committed to
them according to their best judgment, and shall re-
turn to the Levy Court of said county, a certificate of
their qualification according to the provisions of this
act.

Make return

SEC. a. And be it enacted, That the said commission-
ers make a return of the amount, if any allowed for
the purchase of the papers aforesaid, to the Levy court
