CHAPTER 203.

CHAP. 203.

An act relating to the German Reformed Parsonage, in
the town of Hagerstown, Washington county.

1837.

WHEREAS, the several congregations of the German
Reformed Church, interested in a certain house and
lot in the town of Hagerstown, held in trust for their
use as a parsonage, have agreed to make sale of the
same; and whereas, it is found difficult to make a con-
veyance for said property under existing circumstances
to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, and the consis-
tories or elderships of said congregations have petition-
ed this Legislature for the passage of a law empower-
ing trustees to make said conveyance, Therefore:

Preamble

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That William Wise and Daniel Zeller, of Washington
county, be, and they are hereby constituted and ap-
pointed trustees with power in them or the survivor of
them, to execute a deed of conveyance for a certain
house and lot or portion of ground, and the premises,
situated in the town of Hagerstown, in Washington
county, on West Franklin street, and numbered one
hundred and ninety-six, which said house and lot and
premises were conveyed by deed of bargain and sale,
bearing date the twenty-fourth day of October, seven-
teen hundred and ninety-three, and recorded on the
twenty-sixth day of October of said year, in Liber H.
one of the land records of the county aforesaid, to John
Wcller, Earnest Deir and others, by Maria Salerno

Trustees autho-
rised to deed

Weimar, for a parsonage for the use of the German
Reformed Congregation in said deed named; the deed
to be executed, under and by virtue of this act of As-
sembly, by said trustees or the survivor of them, to be
made to the person or persons and for the uses and
estate, with whom and for which the eldership or con-
sistories of the several congregations interested, under
the directions of said congregations, may have con-
tracted or shall hereafter contract, and to be fully and

completely effectual to convey the title to said property
to the grantee or grantees thereof; provided, said deed
be executed and acknowledged by said trustees or trus-
tee, and recorded among the land records of Washing-
