CHAP. 27.

CHAPTER 26.

An act for the relief of Walter S. King, former collec-
tor of Calvcrt county.

Authorised to
collect.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Walter S. King, former collector
of Calvcrt county, or any agent or deputy hereafter
appointed by him, is hereby authorised and empowered
to collect any arrearages or balance of taxes which
may be due the said Walter S. King, as collector

Exceptions.

privileges now allowed by law, unless any person

as aforesaid, shall make affidavit before any justice of
the peace of said county that the same has been paid ;
provided, that nothing in this act shall be construed to
affect the estate, of any deceased person ; and provided
also, that this act shall only continue in force for one
year from its passage.

Render ac-
counts.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Walter S.
King before he proceeds to collect the aforesaid taxes
in virtue of this act, shall deliver or cause to be deliv-
ered to such person or persons from whom such taxes
are due, a notice, which notice shall be given at least
thirty days before he proceeds to act.

A supplement to r.n act, entitled, an act, to authorise and
empower persons owning real estate on any of the
navigable waters of this State, to construct wharves
thereon, passed at December Session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-five, chapter one hundred and sixty-
eight.

Provisions ex-

tended at
Havre-de.
Grace.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of an act, entitled, an act, to au-
thorise and empower persons owning real estate on any
of the navigable waters of this State, to construct
Wharves threeon, passed at December Session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-five, chapter one hundred and sixty
eight, be and the same are hereby extended to all per-
sons owning property situate in the town of Havre-de
