CHAPTER 142.

An act to divorce Henrietta Reid, of Frederick county,
from her husband William P. Reid.

CHAP. 143.

Passed Mar. 6,
1837.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Henrietta Reid be and she is here-
by divorced from her husband William P. Reid, a

mensa et thoro.

Divorce.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said William P.
Reid shall not be liable for any debt to be hereafter
contracted by the said Henrietta Reid, nor bo entitled
to any property which she may hereafter acquire.

Liabilities

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the name of said
Henrietta Reid be and the same is hereby changed to
her maiden name Henrietta Fish.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Henrietta
Reid be, from the passage of this act, entitled to all
the rights and privileges of a feme sole, except the
right of marrying again during the life time of the
said William P. Reid.

CHAPTER 143.


A supplement to an act, entitled, an act for the building
of a Bridge over a stream across the road leading
from Salisbury to Dirickson's Cross Roads, in Wor-
cester county, passed at December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-five.

1837.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners appointed by the
act passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
thirty-five, chapter three hundred, to which this is a
supplement, be and they are hereby authorised and em-
powered to lay out and condemn a half acre of ground,
on each side of the branch called Purdne's Branch,
(one acre in the whole, ) most convenient to the bridge
authorised to be built by the act to which this is a sup-
plemennt, for the purpose of building and keeping in
order the said bridge and the road adjacent thereto;

provided, that the said commissioners before they pro-
ceed to act as such, shall take an oath or affirmation,
