CHAP. 21.

CHAPTER 19.

1837.

An act to confirm an act, entitled, an act for the division
of Baltimore and Frederick counties, and for erecting
a new one by the name of Carroll, and to alter and,
change the Constitution of this State, so far as may
be necessory to effect the same, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and thirty Jive, chapter two
hundred and fifty six.

Confirmation,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That an act, entitled, an act for the division of Balti-
more and Frederick counties, and for erecting a new
one by the name of Carroll, and to alter and change
the Constitution of this State, so far as may be, neces-
sary to effect the same, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter two hundred
and fifty-six, be and the same is hereby confirmed.


CHAPTER 20.

Passed Jan. 19,
1837.

An act to authorise McClintock Young, of Washington
City, to bring into this Stale his slave William.

Permission
granted.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That McClintock Young, of Washington city, be and
he is hereby authorized to bring into this State, Vis
slave "William; provided, lie shall in all respects com-
ply with the requisitions of the several acts upon the
subject of slaves.


CHAPTER 21.

Passed Jan. 20,
1837.

An act to increase the number of Trustees of Charlotte
Hall School.

Six additional

trustees

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall and may be lawful for the Trustees of
Charlotte Hall School, now appointed and in office ac-
cording to the original act creating and organising the
same, at their next quarterly meeting, after the passage
of this act, or whenever thereafter they may deem ex-
peident to appoint six additional Trustees to
