CHAPTER 119.
An act to authorise Eleanor R. Contee and Philip A. L.
Contee, guardian of Benjamin Contee, of Charles
County, to introduce certain Slaves for life into this
State.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Eleanor R. Contee, and Philip A. L. Contee,
guardian of Benjamin Contee, be and they are hereby
authorised to bring from the state of Virginia to this
State, the following slaves for life, to wit: Polly, Har-
riet, Joe, Eliza and her two children, Alic, Patty and

her child, Bill, John and Eliza Ann; provided, that
the said Eleanor R. Contee, and Philip A. L. Contee,
guardian as aforesaid, shall comply with the provisions
and conditions of the act of December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-three, chapter eighty-seven.

An act continue in force certain acts therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act entitled, an act to repair the highways
and bridges in certain parts of the city of Baltimore,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
twenty-three, chapter one hundred and eighty-five, and
an act entitled, an act to continue in force said act,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and
twenty-seven, chapter eighty-seven, be and the same
are hereby declared to be perpetual.
