122 ~ Elizabeth Murmurenough Pltf. vs. John Strawbridge, Deft.; petition of Elizabeth Murmurenough states that previous Sunday night John Strawbridge of Back Creek came to her house while her husband was at Wicomico and assaulted her, “intending adulterous accon on the Petitoner to commit”; after a struggle she escaped to house of her neighbor, Mrs Poole; asks Court to summon Strawbridge to answer for his behavior; Strawbridge appears in Court, evidences are heard; puts himself on Court’s judgement; Court orders Strawbridge to post security; makes bond for Ł10 to be of good behavior, especially to Elizabeth Murmurenough; securities Samuel Alexander and Edward Jones.
