130 ~ Ellis Coleman, Pltf. vs. Peter Bodkin, Deft. for debt of 718 lbs/pork; Peter Dent, attorney for Coleman, presents account of Bodkin from 1687 listing various comestibles; Sam Worthington, attorney for Bodkin, denies debt; Sheriff summons Jury: John Tayler Richard Peaks, George Magee, Richard Jefferson, William Vaughan, Thomas Delahide, Walter Evins, William Tompkins, William Robinson, tanner, Alexander White, John Scholfield, Henry Read; Jury finds for Coleman; Court confirms, with costs.
132 ~ Thomas Ball, Pltf. vs. John Poplewell, Deft. for debt of 450 lbs/tbco; Peter Dent, attorney for Ball, claims debt was for tobacco delivered 15 June 1693 at Manokin; no account or note of debt presented; Sam Worthington, for Poplewell, denies claim, asks for a non-suit; Court so rules; says plaintiff “let fall his account”.
