William Stevens, for which Layfield’s wife Ann, widow of Stevens, is executrix; Peter Dent, attorney for Layfield, cites payments by Stevens on behalf of Laws for 400 lbs to Capt. Marshall and 100 lbs to James Obratton in 1685; Samuel Worthington, for Laws, denies debt, presents bill from Laws to Stevens for white oak planks sawed and delivered to Stevens in 1685, also a receipt signed by Stephen Horsey for 300 feet of oak plank sawed by Laws for Stevens; Court rules non-suit.
