William Whittington, Pltf. vs. Peter Whaples, Deft; per judgement of 12 June 1695, 1631 lbs/pork attached of Whaples goods and chattels; Whittington accordingly made bond for double the amount for execution, pending grace period of one year and a day for Whaples to make good. (No action taken or explanation why this was entered in record.)

117 ~  James Round, Deft. vs. Robert Pirrie, Deft. for debt of 1743 lbs/tbco; Peter Dent, attorney for Round, claims debt is due as balance for merchandize provided 18 September 1694 at Pocomoke; Sam Worthington, for Pirrie, says Round owes Pirrie a greater amount; Court reviews accounts as presented and considers Round owes Pirrie 396½ lbs/tbco; rules a non-suit.

118 ~  Edward Day, Admn of Jane Walker, the Extr of Capt. William Stevens, Pltf. vs. Robert Howard, planter, Deft. for debt of 1663 lbs/tbco; Sam Worthington, attorney for Layfield, presents Howard’s account with Stevens from 1685-87 for merchandize and payment of tax; Peter Dent, for Howard, enters non assumpsit and presents supplemental account showing balance due of 1110 lbs/tbco; Court awards the latter balance to Layfield.

123 ~  William Cuming (Cumin), Pltf. vs. Robert Browne of Belfast Ireland, mariner, Deft. for £51/8/4 in back wages; Peter Dent, attorney for Browne, says that Browne hired with Cuming  as mariner for agreed rate of £2/10 per month on route from Belfast to the Island of Fyall to Virginia or Maryland and return to Ireland; Browne worked from 16 January 1694/5 to 3 October 1695, but Cuming has refused to pay him; Court considers the matter not within their jurisdiction; rules a non-suit.
