CHAPTER 501.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County to accept the dedication of Gwynn Oak Avenue, or
any part thereof, as a public highway; and to grant to The
United Railways and Electric Company of Baltimore a
franchise thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Baltimore Coun-
ty are authorized to accept the dedication of Gwynn Oak Ave-
nue in Baltimore County, or any part thereof, from the owners
thereof, and in consideration of the surrender of its rights
therein to grant to The United Railways and Electric Company
of Baltimore, a corporation, immediately and without advertise-
ment, a perpetual franchise for the construction, operation and
maintenance of a single or double track railway occupying not
more than 28 feet of said road over the portion thereof so dedi-
cated and accepted as a public highway; the said franchise and
rights so acquired from said County Commissioners to be sub-
ject to no other or further public obligations, dues, charges or
taxes than could have been imposed upon the rights of the
owner prior to their surrender to the said County Commission-
ers, and after the grant of said franchise any change in or relo-
cation of any structure or appliances in the portion of said road
so dedicated which may be required by the said County Com-
missioners shall be at their expense and cost and not at the
expense or cost of said railway company.

CHAPTER 502.
AN ACT to add two additional Sections to Article 3 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore
County, " as enacted by Chapter 495 of the Acts of 1908,
to follow Section 116 and be known as 116A and 116B, for-
bidding the discharging of firearms or other explosives on
any of the public highways in Baltimore County, and pro-
viding a penalty therefor.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two additional sections be added to Article 3
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Balti-
