SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Burgess and
Commissioners of Williamsport, in Washington County, in
the State of Maryland, provided they purchase the aforesaid
property be and they are hereby authorized to use the same for
such municipal purposes as in their judgment may seem best,
to keep the same insured against loss by fire and to keep the1
same in repair as repairs are needed from time to time, and
to pay the expenses thereof out of the funds belonging to the
Burgess and Commissioners of Williamsport, and if necessary,
to levy taxes for such amounts as may be needed to keep the
same insured and in good repair.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the First day of June, 1916.

CHAPTER 489.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 214
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's Coun-
ty, providing for Clerks to the Treasurer of said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 214 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 214. The Treasurer shall be entitled to appoint
such clerks or clerk as he may deem necessary, and for whose
official conduct he shall be responsible, and whose total com-
pensation shall not exceed $1200 per annum, to be paid by the
County Commissioners for Prince George's County.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section 52D
of Article 3 of the Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Baltimore County, " sub-title "Circuit Court, " as re-enacted
by the provisions of Chapter 336 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1914.
