all articles so purchased, the name and residence of the person
from whom such purchase was made, and the day and the
hour of such purchase, and such books shall at all times be
open to the inspection of any and every member of the police
and detective forces of such City. Such book or books must
be preserved for a period of at least three years after the date
of the last purchase or transaction recorded in. such book.
Section 663t. Any person who shall violate, or neglect, fail
or refuse to comply with any or all of the provisions of the two
preceding Sections, shall for every offense upon conviction
before any court of competent jurisdiction, be fined, not less
than twenty nor more than Five hundred dollars, and in de-
fault of payment thereof be imprisoned in jail for a period not
exceeding ninety days.
Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 487.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Harford County to levy annually a sum of money for
the support of Vincent Burkins, of said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Harford Coun-
ty, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy
annually the sum of One Hundred Dollars, or so much thereof
as they may deem necessary, for the support of Vincent Bur-
kins, of said county, the same to be paid to him in quarterly
instalments.

CHAPTER 488.
AN ACT to authorize the Burgess and Commissioners of Wil-
liamsport, in Washington County, in the State of Mary-
land, to purchase from Potomac Fire Company No. 1, of
Williamsport, Md., certain real estate within the corporate
limits of the town of Williamsport, and to levy taxes for
the payment of the purchase money therefor.
