SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County are hereby authorized and directed to levy upon the
assessable property of Prince George's County at the next levy,
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), for the use of the
School Commissioners of said County to build a school house
for colored children at or near Bowie in Election District No.
14 in said County.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June, 1916.

Approved April 11th, 1916.

CHAPTER 436.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Charles County, Maryland, to turn over to the
Board of County School Commissioners of said County cer-
tain monies, known as the "Dog Tax Fund, " to be used by
them in the building of new schoolhouses.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County School Commissioners of
Charles County, Maryland, be, and they are hereby author-
ized and directed, to turn over to the Board of County School
Commissioners for said County, before the first day of July,
1916, all monies now in their hands, known as the "Dog Tax
Fund, " which was heretofore collected as a license or tax on
dogs, for the purpose of building a new schoolhouse or houses
for white children in said Charles County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said Board of
County School Commissioners are hereby authorized and di-
rected to use said money, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary, in the building of a new schoolhouse for white children
at or near Pisgah, in the Second Election District of said
County, and a new schoolhouse for white children at or near
Newport, in the Fourth Election District of said County,
either upon the site of the old schoolhouse or upon a new site,
as in their judgment best subserves the interest and conven-
ience of the majority of the pupils of said respective localities,
and in event the sum so received by the said Board of County
School Commissioners is insufficient for the building of all of
the schoolhouses above mentioned, then and in that event the
