826 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 419

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the thoroughfare in the thirteenth election dis-
trict of Baltimore County leading southerly from Rolling Road
beside the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to Viaduct Avenue at
Relay, be and the same is hereby made and declared to be a
public highway and county road, and as such shall hereafter
be maintained by the Highways Commission of Baltimore
County and their successors, who are hereby authorized to
ascertain and define the present width of said road, and to
widen the same to thirty feet or more in their discretion, by
purchase or condemnation of the abutting property.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed
in so far as they are in conflict with this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 419.

AN ACT to regulate the taking or catching of crabs in the
waters of Somerset County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be unlawful for any person or persons
to dredge for crabs on any of the natural bars or rocks set
aside for the taking of oysters in the waters of Somerset Coun-
ty, or to take, catch or have in his or their possession any hard
crabs, other than one in the peeler state, measuring less than
five inches across the shell from tip to tip of spike; nor shall
any person or persons take, catch or have in his or their pos-
session any egg bearing female crab, known as the spawn crab,
sponge crab, blooming female crab, or mother crab, nor any
female crab from which the egg pouch or bunion has been re-
moved, nor shall any person or persons take, catch or keep in
floats or in his or their possession any fat crab, or any crab
known as snot crab or green crab.
