permit in writing to the owner or owners of such land, or the
party in possession thereof, when requested by them so to do.
Any person, violating the provisions of this section shall on
conviction thereof before any Justice of the Peace of the said
County, be fined not less than ten nor more than one hundred
dollars, one-half of said fine to be paid to the informer and
the other half to be paid to the County Commissioners of
said County, for the improvement of the Public Roads of
Frederick County.

SEC. 15. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose
of strictly enforcing the provisions of this Act, all game war-
dens, deputy game wardens, constables and the sheriff of
Frederick Country are hereby authorized to arrest, without
warrant any person or persons, firm or corporation suspected
of violating the provisions of this Act, and shall have the power
to search for any birds or animals suspected of being unlaw-
fully taken or unlawfully in the possession of any person or
persons, firm or corporation, and to demand the opening of any
box, game bag, trunk, suit case, barrel or receptacle of any
house, room or apartment for the purpose of enabling said
officer to make search for birds and animals suspected of being
unlawfully killed or taken, and any person or persons, firm or
corporation who, upon the demand of said officer, refuses to
open any such apartment, house, room, box or receptacle of
any kind owned by him, or in his possession or control, to en-
able said officer to make search as aforesaid, shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not
less than fifty dollars ($50. 00) nor more than one hundred
dollars ($100. 00).

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That any person who fails to
pay any fine or fines imposed under any of the provisions of
this Act and for which no other provision is made, shall be
committed to the County Jail for a term of days equal to the
number of dollars of such fine or fines.
