the 24th day of December and the 10th day of November; nor
any gray or fox squirrel, between the 24th day of December
and the 25th day of August; nor upon any Sunday, or Elec-
tion day, or when the ground is sufficiently covered with snow
to track the birds, rabbits or squirrels, above mentioned; and
it shall be unlawful for any person to trap, shoot, snare, or in
any manner kill or take, capture or destroy any snipe between
the 1st day of May and the 1st day of September; nor any wood-
cock, from the 24th day of December to the 1st day of Au-
gust; —And it shall be unlawful for any person at any time to
snare, loop or set snares for any partridge, pheasant or rabbit,
or to ground, net, bag or bunch on the ground at any time, any
partridge or pheasant, in Frederick County; It shall be unlaw-
ful for any person to sell at any time in Frederick County, or
offer for sale or to ship, or attempt to ship or sell out of said
County, either directly or indirectly, any partridge, pheasant,
squirrel, woodcock, or snipe, shot, taken or trapped in said
County; It shall be unlawful to set or place anywhere, for the
purpose of taking or catching, any muskrat, skunk, fox, rac-
coon, mink or opossum, any trap, snare, deadfall, steel trap,
or other device between the 1st day of March and the 15th day
of November: —and it shall be unlawful to sell or offer for
sale or ship outside of said County for sale any. rabbit, shot,
taken or trapped in Frederick County.
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That it shall not be lawful for
any person not a bona fide resident of Frederick County, to
shoot any pheasant, woodcock, rabbit, squirrel, wild duck or
turkey in said County, without having first obtained from the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for said County, a license permit-
ting the person named therein to shoot said game in said
County, for one year from the date on which said license is
issued, and such license shall not be transferable. The per-
son named therein or the party procuring said license shall
pay to the Clerk therefor the sum of fifteen dollars ($15. 00),
which amount shall be paid by the said Clerk to the Board of
School Commissioners of said County, and fifty cents as a fee
to the Clerk for issuing the same; and any person violating
the provisions of this Section shall, upon conviction thereof,
before any Justice of the Peace of said County, be fined not
less than twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) nor more than fifty dol-
lars ($50. 00) for each and every offence, one-half of said fine
to be paid to the informer and the balance to be paid to the
Board of County School Commissioners for said County; pro-
