said party for any violations of any laws of Washington County
or the State of Maryland with regard to hunting, provided,
however, that such person or persons shall have the right to
pray a jury trial; and provided further, that any person who
shall resist arrest, shall be liable to arrest and trial for resist-
ance to an officer in the discharge of his official duties.
Section 34G. The funds derived from the sale of licenses,
and all fines, penalties and forfeitures for violations of any of
the provisions of this Act shall be paid by the Clerk of the
Court to the County Commissioners of said County, who shall
use the same to pay the salaries of the game wardens of said
County, and for the protection and propagation of game with
any money left over after paying said game wardens; said
County Commissioners are hereby authorized to appoint per-
sons of good repute as game wardens to serve for one year
from the date of their appointment at a salary of fifty dollars
per month; said game wardens shall not be occupied or en-
gaged in other business, but shall give their entire time to this
office; but in no case shall said Commissioners expend more
money for the payment of salaries of said game wardens and
for the protection and propagation of game, than can be paid
out of the funds passing into their hands under the provisions
of this Act, and provided that the term of office of said game
wardens shall expire whenever the fund from which they are
paid is exhausted.
Section 34H. It shall be the duty of said game wardens to
diligently enforce the provisions of this Act and arrest and
bring to trial all persons supposed to be guilty of violating the
provisions of this Act or of any Acts of said County or State,
relating to Gaming, Hunting or Fishing, and all County Game
Wardens appointed by the County Commissioners shall be
under the control and direction of, and may be removed from
office by the County Commissioners, for failure to perform the
duties of their office.
Section 34I. It shall be unlawful for any person or per-
sons to trap any game by any devices whatsoever, except that
rabbits may be caught at any time during the open season by
means of box traps, and muskrats, skunks, minks, possums and
otter may be caught by means of any devices whatsoever dur-
ing the months of December, January, February and March.
Section 34J. Any person, persons, or corporations found
guilty of violating any of the provisions of Sections 29, 30, 31,
