CHAPTER 320.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 34 of Article 22 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington
County, " sub-title "Birds and Game, " and to add additional
sections thereto, to be known as Sections 34E, 34F, 34G,
34H, 34 I, 34 J, 34K and 34L.

Section 34. It shall be unlawful for any person, persons or
corporation to hunt upon the lands of any other person in
Washington County without the permission, first had
and obtained of the owner, tenant or other person in possession
or occupancy of said land, and no person but the owner, tenant
or other person in possession or occupancy of said land shall
have power to give such permission.

Section 34E. In addition to the permission required
by Section 34 of this Article it shall be unlawful for
any person to hunt in Washington County without a license,
first had and obtained. Licenses to hunt shall be issued by the
Clerk of the Court for said County, and shall be good only for
the calendar year in which issued, and open season allowed for
killing game in said County, and persons desiring a license to
hunt, need not make application to said Clerk in person, but
the application of any person to said Clerk by mail or by any
other person in his behalf, when accompanied by the name,
place of residence, age, height, color of eyes, color of hair and
complexion of the applicant, and the fee hereinafter prescribed,
shall be sufficient. For every such license issued to a resident
of Washington County, there shall be charged by said Clerk
the sum of Fifty Cents ($. 50); or if to a non-resident of
Washington County, the sum charged shall be Ten Dollars
($10. 00). The said Clerk shall retain Twenty-five Cents
(25c. ) out of each such sum received, for his services, and the
payment of all expenses incidental to this Act, and the residue
shall be paid to the County Commissioners of Washington
County, to be used for the payment of salaries of game war-
dens, and for the protection and propagation of game and
fish, as hereinafter set forth. With every such license issued,
there shall be given a numbered certificate, of such form as the
said Clerk shall choose, bearing the names, place of residence,
age, height, color of eyes, color of hair and complexion of
said licensee; all of which shall be correctly recorded by said
Clerk, and become public record.

There shall also be given by said Clerk, with such certificate,
a substantial white canvas tag. not less than four by five inches,
