CHAPTER 317.
AN ACT to prohibit the manufacture or sale of intoxicating
liquors within the limits of the 19th election district other-
wise known as Riverdale District of Prince George's Coun-
ty, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall be unlawful for any person, corporation
or club from and after June 1st,. 1916, to sell, barter or manu-
facture or to offer for sale any spirituous or fermented liquors
within the limits of the 19th election district of Prince George's
County, Maryland, otherwise known as Riverdale District..
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the Board of Liquor
License Commissioners of Prince George's County, be and they
are hereby directed to refuse and reject any and all applica-
tions for licenses to sell spirituous or fermented liquors within
said district limits.
SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 318.
AN ACT authorizing the State Roads Commission to make a
survey and estimate of the cost of construction of a State
Highway between Mount Airy and Westminster in Carroll
County.
WHEREAS, the intent of the framers of the law creating the
State Highways Commission was to connect the County seat
of the several Counties by the most direct routes;
AND, WHEREAS, there remains a gap of unimproved road,
seventeen miles, between Mount Airy and Westminster, known
as The Ridge Road, which if completed would give a continu-
ous improved highway from Washington, Rockville, Westmin-
ster and Gettysburg, much shorter than any other route, now
available over any improved highway; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, That the State Roads Commis-
sion are hereby authorized to make a survey and estimate of
the cost of construction of the unimproved portion of public
