Baltimore City, such bonds or securities as may have been de-
posited with him by said bank, by virtue of the provisions of
said Chapter 109 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1892,
and any amendments thereto, and that this Act shall be con-
strued retrospectively as well as prospectively.

SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from and after the first day of June, nineteen hundred and
sixteen.

CHAPTER 260.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 227 to 237, inclusive, of Article
20 of the Public Local Laws, title "Somerset County, " sub-
title "Roads"; all amendments of said sections; Sections 1
and 2 of Article 25 of the Code of Public General Laws of
1904, title "County Commissioners"; Chapter 443 of the
Acts of 1908; Chapter 274 of the Acts of 1910; Chapter
100 of the Acts of 1912, and all other laws, General and
Local, so far as but no farther than said sections, amend-
ments, chapters and laws may be inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act, and to re-enact said Sections 227 to 237,
inclusive, with amendments to apply to Somerset County;
and to create the office of County Road Superintendent for
said County, and to prescribe the duties and powers thereof,
and to read as follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,. That Sections 227 to 237, both inclusive, of Article 20
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ''Somerset County, "
sub-title "Roads"; air amendments of said sections; Sections
1 and 2 of the Code of Public General Laws of 1904, Article
25, title "County Commissioners"; Chapter 443 of the
Acts of 1908; Chapter 274 of the Acts of 1910; Chapter 100 of
the Acts. of 1912, and all other laws, General and Local, so
far as the said. sections, amendments, chapters and laws may
be inconsistent and in conflict with the provisions of this Act,
be and the same are hereby repealed, and that the following sec-
tions be enacted in lieu thereof, to be known or designated as
Sections 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236 and 237,
respectively, of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Somerset County, " sub-title "Roads, " creating the of-
