the fiscal year 1918.

89. To the Mount Hope Retreat, the sum of twelve thou-
sand five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like
sum of twelve thousand five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1918.

90. To the Allegany County Sanatorium for Consump-
tives, the sum of fifteen. hundred dollars for the fiscal year

1917. and the like sum of fifteen hundred dollars for the fiscal
year 1918.

Schools and Colleges.

91. To the Anne Arundel Academy, the sum of four thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1917.

92. To the Blue Ridge College, the sum of five thousand
dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like sum of five thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1918, in return for which the
said college shall furnish to one student from each Senatorial
district in the State of Maryland, free tuition as provided in
Chapter 229 of the Acts of 1912.

93. To the Charlotte Hall School, the sum of seven thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like sum of seven
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918, in return for which
the said school shall furnish twenty-seven scholarships as pro-
vided by Chapter 321 of the Acts of 1898, including tuition,
. board and room rent.

94. To the McDonough Institute of Charles County, the
sum of fifty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and
the like sum of fifty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year

1918.

95. To the Johns Hopkins University, the sum of sixty-
five thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like
sum of sixty-five thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918, in
return for which the said University shall furnish one hundred
and twenty-nine free scholarships, as provided in Chapter 90
of the Acts of 1912.

96. To the Maryland Institute for the Promotion of Me-
chanic Arts, the sum of twelve thousand dollars for the fiscal
year 1917, and the like sum of twelve thousand dollars for the
fiscal year 1918.

97. To the Visitors and Governors of St. John's College
in the State of Maryland, the sum of thirty-five thousand dol-
lars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like sum of thirty-five
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918, in return for which
the said College shall furnish twenty-seven scholarships in-
