CHAPTER 223.
AN ACT to appropriate certain sums of moneys to the support
of sundry schools and charitable institutions in the State of
Maryland for each of the two fiscal years ending on the
thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and seventeen
and on the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred
and eighteen, respectively.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sums of money hereinafter named, be and
they are hereby appropriated to the support of the hereinafter
mentioned schools and charitable institutions in the State of
Maryland for each of the two fiscal years ending on the thir-
tieth day of September, nineteen hundred and seventeen, and
on the thirtieth day of September, nineteen hundred and eigh-
teen, respectively.
Reformatories.
1. To the House of the Good Shepherd, the sum of six
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like sum of
six thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918, to be issued in
accordance with the provisions of Section 547, Article 27 of
the Annotated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland.
2. To the House of Good Shepherd for Colored Girls, the
sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1917,
and the like sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal
year 1918.
3. To the House of Reformation for Colored Boys, the
sum of ten thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the
like sum of ten thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918.
4. To the Industrial Home for Colored Girls, the sum
of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the
like sum of twenty-five hundred dollars for the fiscal year
1918.
5. To the Maryland School for Boys, the sum of twenty
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like sum of
twenty thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918.
6. To the Maryland Industrial School for Girls, the sum
of six thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1917, and the like
sum of six thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1918.
7. To the National Junior Republic of the City of Balti-
more, the sum of three thousand, dollars for the fiscal year
1917, and the like sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal
year 1918.
