CHAPTER 28.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 3, 6,
7, 25 and 2 of Chapter 563 of the Acts of 1914, entitled
"An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
311 of the Acts of 1904, entitled An Act to incorporate the
town of Vienna, in Dorchester County, Maryland. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 3, 6, 7, 25 and 2 of Chapter 563 of
the Acts of 1914, be, and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
3. That the male citizens of Vienna aforesaid, of twenty-
one years and upwards, being citizens of the State of Mary-
land, who have resided in said town for and during the space
of six months immediately preceding any town election, and
all male adult citizens of said State owning real estate in said
town but not residing therein, shall, on the first Monday of
May, 1916, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient, and
every two years thereafter, on the first Monday of May, elect
five Commissioners to serve for two years and until their suc-
cessors shall be duly elected and qualified. Such Commission-
ers shall be residents of said town, have actually resided there-
in not less than six months next preceding their election,
continue to reside therein during the term of their office, be
the owners of real estate within said town, and serve without
pay.
6. That the Commissioners shall meet in some convenient
place in said town on the first Monday of every month of
April, July, October and January and as much oftener as they
shall deem necessary to the discharge of their duties as such
Commissioners.
7. That said Commissioners shall at least ten days
prior to an election of Commissioners appoint three judges
of election, who shall conduct the election according
to the election laws of the State of Maryland, except
that the hours for holding the election shall be from two
o'clock to four o'clock, P. M., except further that one of said
judges may act as Clerk of said election, and except further,
that no registration shall be required to entitle any adult male
citizen offering to vote to have his ballot received and counted;
and except further, that the ballots used may be either written
or printed, and as were used for the election of County Officers
prior to the adoption of the "Australian System. " The said
