CHAPTER 169.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 235
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "Laurel, "
as the same was repealed and re-enacted by the Acts of As-
sembly of 1890, Chapter 201, and by the Acts of Assembly
of 1912, Chapter 695.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 235 of Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's Coun--
ty, " sub-title "Laurel, " as the same was repealed and re-en-
acted by the Acts of Assembly of 1890, Chapter 201, and by
the Acts of Assembly of 1912, Chapter 695, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Section 235. No person shall have or own any dog or bitch,
or keep the same within the limits of said town, if the same be
over six months old, unless he pay a license therefor to the
Mayor and City Council, on or before the first day of June
in each and every year, of fifty cents for each dog, and of one
dollar for each bitch. And the said Mayor and City Council
shall have power to provide by ordinance for the impounding
and killing of every dog or bitch whose owner shall fail or
refuse to pay said license, and shall also have power to provide
by ordinance for the imposition of a fine upon the owner or
harborer of any such dog or bitch who does not pay said license.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, nineteen hundred and sixteen.

CHAPTER 170.
AN ACT to provide for the refunding: and extension of so
much of the bonded indebtedness of the town of Laurel,
Prince George's County, Maryland, authorized under the
Act of 1894, Chapter 545, Section 246M, as is due and un-
paid.
WHEREAS the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Mary-
land, heretofore issued bonds of the said town for the improve-
