mal, such as muskrat, mink, fox, skunk, raccoon or opossum
within the limits of Frederick County, Maryland, between the
first day of March and the fifteenth day of November in any
year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be construed as to prevent any land owner from protect-
ing his property from the ravages of said animals; providing
he does the trapping, catching or killing himself or has it done
by requesting in writing some other person to do the trapping,
catching or killing on land owned by him.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be construed so as to prevent night hunting for opossum
or raccoon, with dogs, at any time in the year.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That any person or per-
sons convicted before any Justice of the Peace for the said
county for violating the preceding sections of this act shall be
fined not less than Twenty Dollars nor more than Fifty Dollars
and costs for each offense. And any Game Warden, Constable
or other person who shall secure the conviction of any person
or persons violating the provisions of the preceding sections
shall receive one-half of the fine collected, and the remaining
one-half of the fine so collected, shall be paid over to the
State Treasurer to be credited to the account of the Game Pro-
tection Fund; provided that any person or persons who fails
to pay any fine so imposed shall be committed to the county
jail for not less than twenty nor more than fifty days.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from June the first, 1916.

CHAPTER 129.
AN ACT to provide for the further existence of the charter and
corporate existence of the Monocacy and Urbana Turnpike
Road Company of Frederick County, a corporation formed
under the provisions of Article twenty-three of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, entitled "Corporations, "
and to amend its charter and give further powers.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
