City can vote upon the question as to whether such levy
shall be made.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the President and Commissioners of Chesa-
peake City in making up the tax levy each year, shall include
three cents on each one hundred dollars of the assessable prop-
erty of Chesapeake City 'in said levy for the maintenance and
equipment of Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 of Chesapeake
City, Incorporated; said levy of three cents on each one hun-
dred dollars to be in addition to the levy now authorized in
the Charter of said town.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the question
whether said levy shall be made shall be submitted to the qual-
ified voters of Chesapeake City at a special election to be held
in said town on the first Monday in June, 1916, and said elec-
tion shall be held at the regular polling place provided in said
town; and at such election all the qualified voters of Chesa-
peake City shall be entitled to vote at the said polling place in
Chesapeake City if they are registered; the President and
Commissioners of Chesapeake City shall, at least twenty days '
before said election, designate the location of said polling place
and shall give notice thereof by publishing the same for two
successive weeks in one newspaper in Cecil County. The said
President and Commissioners shall appoint two judges and
two clerks of election for such polling place who shall be resi-
dents and registered voters of Chesapeake City. The polls at
said election shall be kept open from two o'clock P. M. until
six o'clock P. M., and the President and Commissioners shall
provide all necessary ballot boxes and ballots uniform in
size, shape, weight and color, tally sheets, blanks and sta-
tionery necessary for the proper conduct of said election and
for every purpose incidental thereto, and shall, so far as prac-
tical, make use of any ballot boxes, poll books or other para-
phernalia, records, stationery or equipment now in their pos-
session and not in actual use for any purpose; and they shall
place on the ballot to be voted at such election, the proposition
or plan to levy an additional three cents on every one hun-
dred dollars of the assessable property in Chesapeake City for
the maintenance and equipment of Volunteer Fire Company
No. 1 of Chesapeake City, Incorporated; and they shall pro-
vide on said ballot a space in which shall be printed in uniform
type the words "For The Special Levy" and another space in
which shall be printed in like form the words "Against The
