EMERSON C. HARRINGTON, GOVERNOR. 171

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 33 of Article 14 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland of 1888, title "Howard County, " sub-
title "Birds and Game, " be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

33. It shall not be lawful for any person, not a bona fide
resident of said County, to shoot, of in any manner catch or
kill, any partridge, pheasant, woodcock, rabbit, or any other
game whatsoever, within the limits of Howard County, without
first having obtained from the -Clerk of the Circuit Court for
said County a license permitting the person named in said
license to shoot wild game in said County, for one year from
the day on which said license is issued, except as herein pro-
hibited by Sections 31 and 32; and the person therein, if he
be a resident of Baltimore City, or any County in the State,
he shall pay the said Clerk for such license the sum of Five
Dollars, and Fifty Cents to the Clerk for issuing the same.
And a non-resident of the State, 'shall pay to the Clerk for such
license the sum of Twenty Dollars, and Fifty Cents to the
Clerk for issuing the same.

Any non-resident convicted before a Justice of the Peace of
said County of gunning within the limits of the County with-
out a license so to do, shall be fined not less than. Ten nor more
than Thirty Dollars for each and every offense, one-half of
which, said fine shall be paid to the informer, and the remain-
der as hereinafter directed; and in default of payment of said
fine imposed hereunder, together with the cost, the offender
shall be committed to jail for not less than ten nor more than
thirty days for each offense.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from June 1st, 1916.

apeake City, Maryland, to levy on the assessable property
of Chesapeake City for the maintenance of Volunteer Fire
Company No. 1 of Chesapeake City, Incorporated, and to
